WORK
I take responsibility for sound in environments where clarity matters.
The work changes depending on the room, the people, and the moment.
The posture does not.
What follows is not a list of services. It’s a description of the kinds of environments I choose to step into — and the kind of responsibility I’m willing to carry there.
Live & Broadcast Environments
Live sound and broadcast audio demand the same thing: trust under pressure.
I work behind the console in rooms where mistakes are immediate, distractions are costly, and the experience must feel effortless to the audience. The goal is never volume or spectacle — it’s clarity, consistency, and confidence in the moment.
These environments require decisions made early, not fixes made later.
Systems, Workflow, and Production Clarity
Most production problems aren’t technical. They’re structural.
I work with teams to evaluate systems, signal flow, and workflow design. The work is practical, grounded in real rooms, and focused on reducing friction — for operators, volunteers, and leadership alike.
When systems are intentional, people stop fighting them.
Firefly Sound Labs
Firefly Sound Labs exists to support this work.
Through Firefly, I consult with churches, artists, and organizations on production strategy, system refinement, and post-production where clarity and restraint matter more than novelty. The work is hands-on and shaped by context — not templates.
Firefly is not a service catalog.
It’s a vehicle for focused work.
Thought Work & Education
Some work happens in rooms.
Some work happens over time.
Through projects like SRV Theory, I explore discipline, feel, and conviction — qualities that translate far beyond guitar or music. This work exists to study craft deeply, not to chase trends, and to reinforce the idea that meaningful outcomes come from intention, not shortcuts.
The work looks different in every environment.
The responsibility does not.
